Tank Bottoms

Tank bottoms are accumulated hydrocarbon material and other substances which settle naturally below crude oil in tanks and receptacles that are used in handling and storing of crude oil, and which accumulation contains basic sediment and water (BS&W) in an amount rendering it unsaleable. With respect to lease production and for lease storage tanks, a tank bottom is limited to that volume of the tank in which it is contained that lies below the bottom of the pipeline outlet.

Stratnor accepts most Tank Bottoms that have a solids content of 50% or less. In some cases we do so at no cost to the producer. In other cases we do so against a barter arrangement whereby we receive in exchange agreed upon barrels of virgin merchantable crude oil or agreed upon barrels of more manageable Off-spec or skim crude oil. If no suitable barter or exchange can be made, we accept Tank Bottoms, delivered to our sites, based on the following rate sheet:
